House To Catch The Tree 00 750x500 Fresh and Creatively Practical: House To Catch The Tree
House To Catch The Tree was designed by studio Berranger & Vincent Architectes and is located in Nantes, France. The residence has a total surface of 1,377 square feet (around 128 square meters) and its structure features three levels. The architecture plans of the building aimed at taking advantage of a beautiful chestnut tree situated nearby: "In the heart of Nantes, the house settles on a narrow and steep site. Its location and its size result from regulatory constraints and topography: an old chestnut listed in classified wooden area, a sharp drop, a maximum height of 6m down the roof and 10m up, two parking lots. The first floor hosts the double height living space, which extends to the garden. Facing the back of the house, the chestnut tree creates a permanent interaction with the inhabitants, plays on the ease of use, light (thermal control over the seasons)." The interiors of this home draw attention due to a complex color palette and overall cheerful interiors. Have a look!

loft14 3g Unique Vintage Details in a Fascinating Apartment Near Barcelona
This unique home found on Ideas to Steal is located just 5 minutes away from Barcelona and features a stunning combination of old and new. Recently renovated for a young couple with two children, the crib kept most of its initial design details intact. The ceiling height with its tile roof and wooden beams and brick walls were preserved, but the overall structure of the house was changed. The architects added a second floor to locate the master bedroom and free up all the bottom, where the living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom for children are. The master bedroom has a nostalgic and evocative atmosphere, reminding of the old industrial neighborhood in the area. The room was decorated using recovered antiques and intriguing vintage details. Incredible visual effects are created by using strong color contrasts, yet with a balanced aesthetic effect. We are looking forward to see what details caught your attention.

Gallery House Gallery House Displaying Works by Female Contemporary Artists
The Gallery House in San Francisco, California represents the merger of art and lifestyle. It is an art-loving couple’s paradise flooded with natural light. Sheltering a semi-public art gallery and a residence for two avid art collectors, the Gallery House displays a modern representation of how art should be cared for. Each space represents the inhabitants’ love for artistic expressions from exclusively female contemporary artists. The street-level gallery displays personal collections and collections of friends. The next two floors displaying art and the penthouse sculpture garden are connected to the private spaces allowing the visitors to experience even the lifestyle of the inhabitants. An open floor plan allows art-interested people to capture bits of the art world in both the public and the private sense. The envelope of the house protects it from the cold fog, but also opens it up to sun and breeze. Skylights draw natural light in and offer glimpses of the night sky. Ogrydziak Prillinger Architects really outdone themselves by creating this architectural hybrid, haven’t they?
